Found out today that the $600 my boyfriend has been sending his “sister” every month is actually going to his ex.

We've been together almost 3 years. I literally helped cover our security deposit when we moved because I had some money saved and he told me things were tight for him lol.

I only found out because I mentioned to his sister that I hoped things were getting better financially since he’d been helping her every month. She looked at me like I was insane and said he hasn’t given her money in years.

He gets home in about an hour and has no idea I know.

Anyway salmon, spaghetti and salad, need carbs before whatever the fuck tonight is gonna be.

I did something similar when I found out my partner of 3.5 years had been cheating on me for almost 3 years with multiple women. I found out on my damn birthday!

Insoles taken out of shoes, some shoelaces cut (he’s a runner), random buttons snipped off shirts, cut inconspicuous holes at the bottom of his waders he wears for fishing, holes cut in new tent, and lots of other things he should be finding for months to come!

I placed all his items in the driveway and front yard. Waited for it to start drizzling, then called him to come collect his crap before the neighbors start helping themselves. The why of it all is the question. My bet is that it will open up a door to a conversation he doesn’t want to have because enough time has gone by, the now live together, and he failed to ever tell the truth. Now he’s going to have tell the actual truth.

It could be a baby but that would hella hard to hide. His family would absolutely mention a kid. My guess is it’s something more mundane like they’re co-signed on debt: car loan/lease, big ticket item bought on credit and she kept, credit card, student loan, something like that. OPs boyfriend may be avoiding the hit to his credit if she can’t pay or the interest has ballooned these payments over time.

Whatever it is, he fucked up by not being transparent about financial obligations tied to the ex when they became more financially combined. Thought he could pay it off quietly. Or whatever.

My ex husband withdrew $600 cash PER WEEK for about 6 months at one point a few years after his grandma passed and left him $165,000+. I only found out when I did because I looked at one of the statements for the savings account it was in.

Never had anything physical to show for it and he claimed it was all DLC for videogames. I called bullshit, but still to this day, some 10ish years later, I have no clue what (or who) he spent it on.

Don't care anymore since he's someone else's problem now, but that was some fucked shit.

My ex was only supposed to pay the mortgage. I paid all the other bills, groceries, etc. Then one day he tells me we’re refinancing the house and signing papers the next morning. I ask WTF? He hasn’t paid the mortgage in 5 months and we will go into foreclosure if we don’t refinance. Where the hell did the mortgage money go for 5 months?! I never found out. But he discovered divorce papers soon after.
