Every time some bot posts this picture, someone like myself has to tell people that:
- Its AI generated to have the long lashes (it doesnt have any more lashes than any other lioness)
- The picture is not real because there's some markings on the face that the real picture doesn't have
But I think the fact people dont care about photoshopped stuff already meant people won't care about AI stuff as long as it is believable enough for them

I had the same concerns as you tbh, so I went looking—she’s a member of Daegu’s National Park in South Korea. Shes not inbred, she just happens to hail from lions that had the leucistic gene, and she’s being handled by one of her zookeepers. While the zoo she’s in is a little small, the animals are well-kept otherwise, and they’re all going to be transferred to a bigger and better facility in the next year or two. IMO it’s safe to enjoy these pics and just be happy about how much of a pretty baby she is

Yeah, that Zoo does a better job than say the Japanese zoo's where animals keep dying like the three lions recently because Japanese didn't care to install AC in the heatwave. Yes I'm still pissed about it as it was totally avoidable. They died in pain.

Lots of animals can be leucistic. It’s just a genetic dice roll. Birds retain normal beak and talon colors but will have most or all feathers lacking any pigment. Freaked me out the first time I saw a fully white hawk. They don’t live as long though because their feathers are more brittle.

I think now that lions have the best eyelashes in the car family (if not animal kingdom). I have seen at least 2 other videos of different lions with also beautiful lashes. One was even a white lion.
